Mazda RX8 / NC MX5 spherical bearing assemblies consist of all 6 replacement joints in the front lower control arms. Each assembly comprises 5 components- CNC turned aluminum body, COM Teflon lined spherical bearing or upgraded Aurora spherical bearings, snap ring, and two CNC turned misalignment spacers.

Spherical bearings eliminate lost motion in the suspension caused by rubber deflection which will yield more consistent camber curves and contact between the vehicle’s tire and road surface.

Keisler Automation offers a $125.00 installation service which consists of removing the OEM compliance bushings and installing the spherical assemblies. Ship us your new or used arms with a return label (preferably UPS). Typical turn around time is 2 business days, but this may vary dependent upon our current work load.

Note- We do not provide removal or installation instructions past what is listed below. If you’re unsure of your capabilities to complete the installation, please let us handle that.

1. Removing the Front LCA bushing is a PITA. This is, in our opinion, the toughest part of the job.

2. We recommend sanding mating surfaces with 80 grit, cleaning the surfaces with brake clean or acetone, and installing Loctite 603 bearing retaining compound on both surfaces before pressing.

3. The flange on the front LCA assembly locates on the rear-most side of the arm (view the installed photo for reference).
